5 pence coinswhy? what's the point of them? they're small, fiddly and annoying. i've never felt the need to spend 5p on anything. i find 1p and 2p coins similarly objectionable, but the 5p is just so infuriatingly small... rage, that's what they make me feel.

It used to be biggerAs it replaced the 1 shilling piece, it was the same size and value. Then in 1990 they shrunk it to its current size. Quite why has yet to be shown.
