butter chicken, pilau rice, and aloo parantha (or whatever its spelt) - much better than yours. though to be honest, i would have your meal as well, without that most foul of creature - the mushroom

This is a QotW comment I like the ambiquity of the Pashwarii Naan.
Is it a starter? is it a side to a mains? is it a desert? is it left overs for breakfast the next day?

NOBODY KNOWS !

Ooooooo, that's the first time i've used the word ambiquity, I do hope I used it right.

only in truths, my friend. Peshwari is the best naan. And if, by some miracle there's some left over after you've finished your curry, you can eat it for dessert too!

This is a QotW comment althegeordie will back me up here
Starters:
Lamb chops, masala fish, seekh kebabs and chicken tikka, accompanied by roti bread

Main;
Dry Meat (the most incredible dish of all time), accompanied by baby pumpkin and tarka dal

...all served up by the culinary genii at Tayyab's.

Vipros, come up to town and I will show you the food of Pakistan that will bring you to tears it's so fucking incredible. And nigh on impossible to spend much more than about 15 quid a head on.

At the end of my road is also a street with a choice of about a dozen Vietnamese places in the space of about 100 yards. The Viet Hoa cafe or the kitchen in the Vietnamese Cultural Centre (rudest staff ever, best food ever) on Englefield Rd are the best. Special mention goes to the stuffed squid - a revelation.

There are many reasons to think London is shite but cheap and authentic foreign food (I'm also just down the road from where the Turks do their thing) isn't one of them.
(, Thu 5 Nov 2009, 8:43, Reply)
This is a QotW comment I've had some incredible turkish food in London
