Well, the QOTW seems to have taken on a life if it's own with these reply threads and all, and there are bashes all over the place. This one I can walk to - hurrah!

This was originally entitled a QOTW based bash, but I've realised this sounds like no-one else is welcome. I didn't mean this at all, anyone who wants to come would be very welcome, I loves (nearly) all b3tans. So it's an all boards bash - do come along and drink many beers.

This has got to be a recipe for win. I might just have to stick my nose in and say hi. And by that I mean drink 'til I could piss out the sun :-D The pint cocktails aren't exactly classy but they are rather more-ish.

I wouldn't normally
venture into such a dubious drinking establishment, being of high moral fibre,an' all, but seeing as you folks will be there perhaps I could partake of a small shandy just to be social.

I hope no one going is prone to falling over - There are a lot of stairs at this venue.

Crash space
I've just tried looking up B&Bs and youth-hostels etc. and have discovered the only ones I can find in Southampton offer extortionate prices. If anyone is willing to accommodate my person on the night of the 20th, I would appreciate it, but if not, don't worry too much.

But if the worse comes to the worse, I could always pitch a tent somewhere in the New Forest (although doing that drunk in pitch-blackness would be an experience).

I can't come along as I live in ireland and used up all my holidays for this year.

I might have to play this one delicately and only pop-in for an hour or so, and also not be drinking (the horror!).

Seeing as how I've been away from home with work for two weeks, Mrs Fireflier is kind of keen to see me, and probably won't appreciate me disappearing off for a few hours on Saturday evening (plus she isn't likely to want to come herself). We'll see how it goes...
